Looking For a BMX Bike Street

Hello Everyone. I've been doing a lot of my own bike construction of the past few years and now I need to get a complete bike to keep up with the time. If any of you have a bike that you would like to sell, I'd like to take a look at it.

I'm mainly looking for street and a relatively light bike. (I still have to weigh my lightest bike to see what relatively means)

Mid Bearings, Euro or Spanish. (a must)

25, 9 gearing or something of that order.

No pegs, don't care for brakes and I can paint.

Pivotal Seat, really low.

Doubled walled rims (a must)

Milwaukee seems to have what I'm looking for but for a used bike, $300 for some bikes is steep.

Shoot me an email, send me the pictures. Thank you.

Location 2

Here is the Southwest High School Site. Some of you may know about the area, used for dirt bikes and quads, paintball and dumping. There are a few jumps there and with some shovels, a nice line of jumps could be made. If your a local in the the Neighborhood, ask around for a bobcat.

Remember, or if you didn't know, this is Oneida Land. Respect it, keep it clean. Go with friend's. Below is a google link to view the site.

Location 1

This is the Citydeck designed by stossLU of Boston, MA downtown Green Bay. Sometime within a year it will be completed. Quite the accomplishment for Green Bay, World Class Design, and it is also quite the public space for residents. (Last photo is what used to be "the boardwalk")

There are some wonderfully designed benches that flow into the walkway. The bike trail runs through the heart of the park and the wood used is Ipe, extremely durable and a beautiful gray surface as it ages.

BMXer's, what am I getting at with this post? StreetBMX sees that need in Green Bay for areas destined for youth. Citydeck will become a wonderful downtown attraction and a hang out spot. Coffee, sunflower seeds and young people standing and sitting in circles is all that is needed.

BMX could and should have a field day, but with full respect to other users and the physical appearance of the park. Get stossLU to do the BMX park. Remember, your tax dollars at work here. Enjoy it!

Here it is on the Map.

Green Bay BMX Locations/Sites

I hate to do this, but I'll Post the links for now of some areas in Green Bay that are known or little known for BMX riding. What I really like about BMX is the creativity one can put into the physical setting their in, Designing tricks. Jumps are made out of anything, boards, pallets, curbs, walls, or whatever is there.

Some of the links below are very general, but I've placed the arrow in Google Maps on the exact locations. I will be updating this blog and posting new locations with photos, aerial and birds-eye-view. Just copy and paste the links in your address bar. Enjoy!

First Post: StreetBMX

Greetings Fellow BMX riders of Green Bay, WI.

I right to you today to begin a link with those of you who enjoy BMX bikes and riding, whether, street, flatland or dirt. Green Bay has potential to get into the global sport and contribute talent, energy and an economic enhancing tool that the city as a whole will benefit from.

My hope and desire is that StreetBMX will become a place information on riding in the city, updates (what ever they are) and news.

First off, BMX park. I have full support for the overpass54 and dream of at least one individual burdening himself with such a task. (Check to out: http://overpass54.webs.com)

Second, I'm going to compile a map, or several, of all the locations one may find or come across that are great for tricks, jumping, or whatever you can do on that bike of yours.

Third, send in your thoughts, ideas, concerns, to this email address: streetbmx.gb@gmail.com

Forth, I'll tell you later.
